AFCEA Bethesda, a 501(c)(6) non-profit organization, encourages dialogue and partnership between the federal government and industry to solve today’s most critical IT challenges. Through widely attended programs, AFCEA Bethesda strives to foster better inter-agency communication, share best practices, identify mission-critical issues and management approaches, and increase engagement with industry IT solutions and service providers.

AFCEA Bethesda is the civilian-focused Chapter of AFCEA International. With more than 139 Chapters worldwide, AFCEA is a membership organization dedicated to increasing knowledge through the exploration of issues relevant to its members in information technology, communications and electronics for defense, homeland security and intelligence communities.

What We Do

Each year, our programs engage more than 2,500 attendees from our community. Speakers and moderators include federal civilian, senior-government executives with attendees from industry, academia, and government.

Our Chapter proceeds are donated to academic scholarships promoting STEAM education in the local community plus additional charities benefiting veterans and the health, welfare, and education of children.

Emerging Leaders

Our organization of young professionals works in or with civilian government agencies in the areas of communications, digital services, IT and network security.

The Emerging Leaders board organizes networking and professional development programs throughout the year to provide a forum for sharing ideas, developing skills, and making enriching professional connections that will last a lifetime.
